BEING MATURE IN THE 21ST CENTURY - OPPORTUNITIES AND POSSIBILITIES - AN IMPORTANT DISCUSSION PANEL

That was the motto at the conference which accompanied the first seniors expo in Kielce.  Many important issues were raised, and among them:   Activation of seniors in the local community,  Institutional support, The role of local government in the seniors activation, Physical condition vs mental condition, The direction for silver economy - a new phenomenon in the economy, Elderly people safety - the rights.
The discussion featured  Full Professor   Adam A. Zych PhD. Hab., Alfred Kubczak - Director for Business Affairs in Żabka Polska, Andrija Reva - Deputy Mayor of Winnica (UA), Galina Jakubowicz - Deputy Mayor of Winnica (UA), Krzysztof Partyka - Deputy Minister, Department of Economic Regulation Improvement, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, Magdalena Gościniewicz- Deputy Director of the Municipal Family Assistance Centre. There were also the special guests - Kielce Mayor Bogdan Wenta, Sergei Morgunov - Mayor of Winnica and Renata Janik - Deputy Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship.

Magdalena Gościniewicz- Deputy Director of the Municipal Family Support Centre in Kielce told about the senior clubs’ tasks and offer. She also presented such centres operating in Kielce.  She also raised presented benefits scheme the city of Kielce offers for seniors, e.g. a seniors card, telecare, a taxi for a senior and life envelopes.
 Anna Mikołajczyk talked about public participation  and explained the implementation stages for participatory strategy designed to create senior-focused policy. Why create a Senior Council - this isuue was also addressed.
The Marshal's Office presented the plan:  the Cooperation Directions of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Self-Government with NGOs in 2020

The panel proved to be really necessary. Participants focused on people over 60 activation. Many important discussions resulted from the food-for-thought offered in the panel.
