euro-lift 2018 The EURO-LIFT lifts trade fair has gathered over one hundred companies from 14 countries

This industry’s most important event attracted nearly 2,000 guests. According to the visitors' and exhibitors' opinions, these exhibitions have already became a permanent fixture in their business calendars; this is owed to the event's supreme quality and high standards as well as attractive fringe events. The Euro-Lift expo has been traditionally co-organised by the Polish Association of Lift Manufacturers and EWIT Publishing House. This year's exhibitions enjoyed the Honorary Patronage of the Ministry of Investment and Development.

Lifts and systems from around the world

The lift industry comprehensive was put on show by 101 companies from 14 countries:    Poland, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Switzerland, the USA, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Sweden, Belarus, Hungary and Russia.  The exhibition of 1,520 m2 was the perfect  chance to become familiar with the latest industry achievements. The showcase of drives, ropes, control and safety systems included true highlights - innovative absolute measurement system of lift-car position in the elevator shaft,  comprehensive lift interior protection structures frequency inverters.  The expo guests had the chance to become familiar with energy-saving solar-powered elevators. The event hosted the representatives of the most prestigious and prominent industry organizations from Europe, including  ELA (European Lift Association) and ANICA (National Association of Lift Component Manufacturers).

The expo was also the chance to disseminate the knowledge on the Accessibility Plus program of the polish Government.  The "Accessibility Island" expo stand under the patronage of the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON) was the place to showcase and present technical and architectural solutions designed to adapt the infrastructure for the needs of people with disabilities and elderly people.  The meeting designed to offer information was held in the form of a happening - the programme objective is to improve the quality of life and ensure all citizens ‘self-reliance, with particular emphasis on the elderly and people with disabilities.  The scheme is to improve the life quality by boosting accessibility in public space, offering right products and services in the architectural, information and communication aspect. The Ministry of Investment and Development, PFRON State Fund of Rehabilitation of Handicapped People , the Polish Institute of Silver Economy, PSPD, the TUS Foundation and the exhibitors used the shared exhibition space to stage joint presentations.

The expos programme abounds with substantive meetings organised by knowledge partners of the event.  The "Lifts maintenance, modernization and installation - the perspective one year after the of EN PN 81.20/50 introduction" conference organised by the Polish Association of Lift Manufacturers was one of the conference highlights.   Inter alia, the meeting focused on the lifts industry digitization and education as well as finances for  modernization and  refurbishment of  existing lifts   under the "Accessibility Plus" programme. The effects of poor maintenance on the risk of lift failure, the safety of passenger lifts in the context of securing the lift car interior and the rules for the correct lifts modernization were also addressed.   The conference brought together outstanding presenters: Roberto Zappa, President of the European Lift Association, Roger Howkins (ARUP), Mateusz Szymański (Safel), Stormer Stefan (TUV Austria), Paweł Rajewski (UDT), Michał Dębski (UDT) and Leszek Fidelus (UDT). The expo agenda also included the meeting devoted to "UPS emergency power supply and batteries in elevator systems" organized by IPS - UPS as well as the  "Atelier of the Future - Education and Vocational Education Counselling" session organised by the Kielce Regional Chief Education Officer in partnership with the Polish Association of Lift Manufacturers.
