32nd MSPO is the largest defence expo in Poland's history
32nd MSPO has brought together the best specialists, innovators and leaders of the defense industry worldwide. Several dozen conferences arranged by the Ministry of Development and Technology, Jan Kochanowski University, Warsaw University of Technology, Kielce University of Technology, War Studies Academy, Defense 24, Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and Airbus Helicopters and many contracts signed during the expo are complemented with thousands of meetings. The expo delves deep into the latest technologies and achievements but it also symbolises our shared commitment to ensuring peace. Peacekeeping is debated by the participants of the Polish-Ukrainian Defence Industry Forum.
The guests of honour discussed the importance of MSPO from the point of view of national and global security during the show's official opening.
- Record, excitement, honor, pride, joy, dreams, goals, values; these words are on everobody’s lips; they have remained unchanged for 32 years and they are valid before, during and after MSPO. Each consecutive Defence Exhibition is special event because of the exhibitors and the technologies. – these words of the President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce, Doctor Andrzej Mochoń commenced his speech.
- Trade fairs mean business, Targi Kielce means business and values. I am proud that our centre will host discussions about the most important issues: security, peace, strengthening alliances, and building a modern army. Kielce is the best address for MSPO. Building a cutting edge army is the best way to keep the peace - said Agata Wojda, Mayor of Kielce.
- This event has been one of the largest and the oldest of its kind in Poland. I am glad that I can meet such a large group and discuss the most important issues related to the defence industry. The exhibitor's milieu includes the most important manufacturers and suppliers of military equipment, defence industry experts, leaders of the Polish arms industry and representatives of international companies. The presence of such outstanding specialists is proof of how important it is to build and strengthen cooperation for security. - said Jakub Jaworowski, Minister of State Assets.
- MSPO is an extraordinary event; I mean the scale of this undertaking. Kielce is a very good place for this industry to meet. This year's MSPO is the largest Polish Defence Industry Exhibition in its history. We sign further important contracts worth approximately PLN 2 billion; the expo witnesses the development. The Kielce expo is an example of extraordinary development and are very much needed for the development of the Świętokrzyskie region. May this expo be a great showcase of the Republic of Poland - he emphasised Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak Kamysz
- Congratulations on a spectacular system; you have achieved so much with your perseverance, patience and consistency. This is what Polish defence policy needs, in addition to our spending plan and the strategies we create in connection with defence. Safety has no price tag, it is a value – the Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Szymon Hołownia.
- I would like to express my great joy that I am here with you in person for the eighth time and that I again offered this trade fair the presidential patronage. This is a very important event for Poland from the economic point of view, but it is also a very important event for us and for our part of Europe and - I may say loftily - for the whole world from the point of view of safety and security. – said the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
Each guest present at the opening appreciated the work that went into creating the largest defence fair in Poland's history, the XXXII International Defence Industry Exhibition.
The expo will last until Friday, September 6 at the Kielce exhibition and congress centre.
