4x Solaris at the TRANSEXPO

10 october 2012
Electric, long-distance, low-floor and … the longest

One of the SOLARIS’ novelties is the 12-metre electric bus

In Poland there is an on-going debate on the public transport development – says the Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD– City inhabitants observe and recognise the value of transport investments as these investments enhance the life quality and thus influence the regional and national development. However, one needs to remember that the modern public transport has to be ecological and of low-emission type. Such a debate has also been held during the Kielce’s TRANSEXPO trade fair as the expo brings together companies from home and the whole Europe. The TRANSEXPO trade fair develops rapidly; the interest demonstrated by local authorities and management of transport companies is also on the increase. The 2012 edition is held from 10th to 12 October; it brings together over 140 exhibitors from more than a dozen of countries – adds President Andrzej Mochoń.

The 10th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO is the showcase for Solaris’ 4 new products:

The twelve-metre version of the electric bus. This emission-free and quiet bus runs on electricity stored in batteries.

Solaris InterUrbino is a new long-distance bus for city-to-city transport.

Solaris Urbino Ü – the name has been derived from the German word Überland, a long distance city-to-city bus in its low-floor version

A Solaris Urbino 18,75 is the longest of all the vehicles produced by Solaris.
