A journey through Italian arts landscapes guided by Father Witold Kawecki

This year's Sacroexpo abounds in many meetings with the authors of books and publications. One of such meetings is a unique conversation with Father Witold Kawecki, author of the book "Travels through Italy with Artemizja Gentileschi"; more than a guide book to the picturesque corners of Italy, but also a story about the life and work of one of the most significant but unknown Baroque artists

The meeting pivoted around sharing knowledge and passion for art. Father Professor Witold Kawecki, known for his love for Italy and art history, invites participants to discover the fascinating world of Artemisia Gentileschi, the woman-artist who broke the conventions of her era and gained recognition in a world dominated by men.

The meeting offered its participants the opportunity to listen to interesting facts from Gentileschi's life and go on an extraordinary trip around Italy in the artist's footsteps. Father Kawecki's lecture combined historical, artistic and spiritual elements, offering deep insight into the context of the era and the artist's individual approach to painting.

The meeting with Father Witold Kawecki is an opportunity to deepen knowledge about the outstanding artist and a time to reflect on the role of art in spiritual and cultural life.  After the meeting, Sacroexpo participants had a chance to tack to the author, ask questions and get an autograph. The "Jedność" publishing house expo stand was waiting for everyone interested in meeting the author.
