A seminar on concrete roads held on the second day of the NEW INFRASTRUCTURE EXPO

The meeting gathered a group of local government officials from all over Poland who discussed the role of concrete, the possibilities of building concrete pavements, the maintenance of the entire road infrastructure.

The opening of the seminar was attended by: Dariusz Gawlak President of the Cement Producers Association and Krzysztof Kieres, vice-president of SPC, Milena Nowek, standing Deputy Director of the Warsaw Branch for Technologies and Andrzej Mochoń PhD, President of the Board, Targi Kielce SA

The main meeting asset was the discussion related to the solutions which have already been implemented. Tomasz Ożóg, Deputy Mayor of the City and Commune of Skawina, talked about concrete bicycle paths in Skawina, and Robert Adach, the representative of the Mayor of the City and Commune of Prusice, spoke about concrete roads in the Prusiece Commune.

The second panel was the scientists’ kingdom and among them Professor Engineer, PhD. Hab Antoni Szydło from the Wrocław University of Technology. The topic of strengthening the existing road surfaces was the main theme. The concrete road surfaces in tunnels, exemplified by the S19 trunk road, was discussed by Doctor Hab. Engineer Tomasz Siwońki from Rzeszow University of Technology.
