American Raytheon joins the MSPO with its anti-tank munition and rockets

16 august 2022
Raytheon Company, one of the world's most significant defence concerns, will present the latest ammunition models at the jubilee Kielce's MSPO. Excalibur guided artillery projectiles, the Javelin anti-tank missiles with the LWCLU Lightweight Command Launch Unit and SkyCeptor missiles are to be displayed. These products are highly valued in the Polish army and in many countries armies.

The American corporation Raytheon has branches in many countries around the world, including an office in Poland. Raytheon has cooperated with the Polish armed forces for years. The implementation of the Vistula programme has been one of the joint projects. In January this year, an agreement to continue the production and supply of Excalibur-guided artillery shells was signed. The latest models of this ammunition will be presented at the 30th  International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO The latest version is almost 100% reliable owing to GPS and inertial guidance.

The Javelin anti-tank guided missile, already used by the Polish Territorial Defence Forces, will also be shown in Kielce -  the ammunition is to destroy enemy's armoured targets, including tanks. Interestingly, Poland was the first country to obtain approval from the US Congress to acquire Javelin missiles in the newest and most advanced F version.  In addition, Kielce is also the showcase for missiles-launching equipment- i.e. light LWCLU and guidance systems.

The Raytheon presentation during the defence showroom is complemented by SkyCeptor missiles, designed for the Wisła-class systems and used to combat ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aeroplanes and helicopters.

Be reminded that "Wisła" is one of the key modernization programs of the Polish Armed Forces.
