An atmospheric evening at the Memorial to Miles. Monika Borzym will sing her "Lullabies for Adults"
Monika Borzym is one of the most talented and charismatic jazz vocalists on the Polish music scene. Monika Borzym is a graduate of the prestigious University of Miami Frost School of Music and Los Angeles College of Music; Borzym's debut album "Girl Talk" from 2011 brought her enormous popularity, and subsequent releases only strengthened her position. Borzym is the many awards and distinctions winner. Her live performances are authentic musical feasts.
Targi Kielce Jazz Festival Memorial is where Miles is offered the chance to share this experience. On Saturday, 28 September, Monika Borzym will present her unique project "Lullabies for Adults". Both critics and the audience have welcomed the project openhandedly. This musical project is an extraordinary journey following the emotions map - jazz sounds intertwine with soothing melodies, and thus create a unique atmosphere. "Lullabies for Adults" album combines subtlety, lyricism and depth, fully showing the singer's talent.
The concert at the Kielce Culture Centre includes "Blame It On My Youth" - a 1934 standard composed by Oscar Levant with Edward Heyman's lyric, "It Amazes Me" by the duo Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh from 1958, "Old Devil Moon " (Burton Lane & Yip Harburg, 1947) or "Kiss" - a hit written by Prince in 1986.
Monika Borzym KCK concert commences at 8 p.m. The first concert of the evening, at 6 p.m., Piotr Schmidt International Quintet ft. Aaron Parks.
The jazz festival at KCK features Nguyên Lê, Urszula Dudziak and Grzech Piotrowski, Kuba Więcek & Hoshi, Tantfreaky and Włodek Kiniorski with guests. The 22nd Targi Kielce Jazz Festival Memorial To Miles from 26 to 29 September at the Kielce Culture Center.
