This is a German manufactures of sportswear, accessories and avalanche safety equipment. The company has been operating in the rescue equipment market since 1976. For all these years the Ortovox has been the trendsetter avalanche electronic development as their detectors have been a market innovation. As early as 1980 ORTOVOX equipped its enthusiast with the first detector which offered the possibility of two-band transmission and reception; for over 2 years the F2 model had been unparalleled.
