Business contacts between Polish and Ukrainian companies were established at the Join In conference at Targi Kielce
The event organized by the City of Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship's Marshal Office in Targi Kielce was attended by representatives of institutions supporting Polish-Ukrainian cooperation and companies from both countries which seek to cooperate.
Vasyl Zvarych, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland, pointed out that Ukrainian and Polish entrepreneurs today stand shoulder to shoulder in rebuilding the war-ravaged country. – Reconstruction starts here and now. I encourage you to build partnerships, enhance friendly relationships, and prepare for joint projects now. I believe that together we can do more - said the ambassador.
Jacek Piechota, President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, explained that economic cooperation has been developing dynamically, In 2021 the turnover of Polish and Ukrainian companies exceeded USD 12.5 billion. - This shows how much power lies in cooperation. After the war outbreak, in extreme conditions, our economic cooperation is increasing. For the last seven months, the turnover exceeded PLN 9 billion and Polish companies have not deserted Ukraine. Barlinek and Cersanit are symbols of Kielce's presence in Ukraine, said President Jacek Piechota. As Peiechota explains, cooperation will become more important when Ukraine joins the European Union. Cooperation between companies and first and foremost the new technologies and renewable energy sources sectors' representatives will be pivotal.
The Mayor of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta, emphasized that over the 65 years of cooperation with the city of Winnica, it has encompassed important activities showing that people build the capital of partnership and friendship. - Person-to-person contact is crucial for business - emphasized Wenta.
Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Andrzej Bętkowski, pointed out that cooperation space is created not only in the areas of metallurgy and foundry, agriculture, processing, construction, tourism, renewable energy sources, but also in psychological support.
Business talks about doing business Ukraine
Representatives of 18 companies from Ukraine and several Polish enterprises from various industries took part in the conference and networking meetings. Those present included representatives of Barlinek, MB Recycling, Annabud, Balker, 4-Eco, Nordisca Ekofiber Polska, Pneumatic Complex, CPP Prema SA, Kolporter, Jarbud Group to name a few.
- We have operated in Ukraine since 2015, today's meetings made it possible to establish contacts that will allow us to expand our work - said Andrii Druchynskyi, commercial director of ABM Recycling, Representative of MB Recycling LLC Communal Waste Processing Plant from Piekoszów.
