Bus craze at Targi Kielce’s International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO
The scale of the event has increased
TRANSEXPO offers a total of 8,080 m² of exhibition space (including 7,630 m² inside the expo halls and 569 m² of outdoor space), which is a significant increase compared to the 2022 show, when the show occupied 7,340 m². The number of exhibitors has also soared: this year, 107 companies from 7 countries present their innovations, including those from Austria, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey and, of course, Poland. For comparison, in 2022 we hosted 98 companies from 9 countries, which shows a clear development trend in this event.
Zero emission trend
Now, the transport industry is committed to zero emissions, which is in line with the latest legislative changes. In July, the Ministry of Climate and Environment submitted for consultation a draft amendment to the Act on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels; the new regulations oblige cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants to purchase only zero-emission buses for public transport. TRANSEXPO 2024 is the place where Polish manufacturers present vehicles that comply with the upcoming regulations, including the Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen bus, winner of the prestigious title of "Bus of the Year 2025" and the innovative, electric PILEA bus from ARP E-VEHICLES, available in three different configurations, one of which will be shown for the first time. Just before it hits the streets of Świdnica, the expo is the showcases hydrogen bus ARTHUR BUS. More hydrogen buses are brought to Kielce by NesoBus, a Polish manufacturer of ecological buses.
International Fair of Public Transport – the for everyone
TRANSEXPO is not only about modern buses but also presents innovative solutions in the field of passenger comfort and safety, ticketing systems, and bus stop infrastructure. The Polish Road-Assistance Expo HOL-EXPO perfectly supplements TRANSEXPO - Central and Eastern Europe’s only exhibition of the road assistance industry.
Industry conferences
The event is enriched by three industry conferences that will bring together experts from all over Poland. Traditionally, on the eve of the trade fair, a conference organised by IGKM is held; on the first expo day, Solaris will hold its press conference, and on the second day the event organised by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Transport and Forwarding (PIGTSiS).
