Conference "Energy for the Świętokrzyskie 3E - Energy Export Expansion" Conference
The conference began with the problem-focused lecture by Łukasz Stanecki from PwC on the main market trends, investments and financing - issues related to the energy transformation. The speaker stressed the importance of the European Union’s climate policy, which supports the development of renewable energy sources (RES). He drew attention to Poland's dynamic development in the wind and solar energy sector, pointing out that the rate of energy production from renewable sources per capita still shows great growth potential. He indicated which foreign entities are actively participating in the transformation process, both developing new and existing RES projects in Poland. A number of renewable energy financing structures and instruments are available on the market. Łukasz Stanecki discussed the programs supporting the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in the field of energy storage. The construction of energy storage facilities is included in which the competition; the application date is expected to be announced in the first/second quarter of 2025, and the level of subsidy will amount to PLN 4 billion.
The panel discussion saw experts discuss discussed the challenges related to the development of the energy sector, international differences in the approach to innovation and the need for cooperation at the global level. The panelists list included:
- Allen Jeng from a Taiwanese company Tin Jet Tech Ltd,
- Ari Haapanen from a Finnish company Gas1 oy,
- Engineer Msc. Artur Pawelec of Kielce University of Technology.
- For my country, the most important legal solutions concern environmental issues, but they are not the easiest. The government and those responsible for creating regulations in this area bear a great responsibility on their shoulders. – explained Ari Haapanen from Gas1 oy from Finland.
The representative of Taiwan emphasised the actions the country is taking regarding the energy sector. The possibility of business cooperation and mutual financial support was also discussed - cooperation between Taiwan and Europe will become closer.
- There are a lot of changes happening in energy technologies right now. Today it is difficult to imagine energy without IT. Machine learning, artificial intelligence are emerging – said MSc Eng. Artur Pawelec of Kielce University of Technology.
The second part of the meeting featured a speech by Michał Grad, Director of Electrical and Teletechnical Installations with Polonez Plus, who presented a comprehensive proposal for energy transformation, which concerned the decarbonization of industry and logistics.
The “Energy for Świętokrzyskie 3E” conference was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, establish business contacts and learn about the directions of energy development in the region and on international markets. The event was organised in cooperation with the Marshal's Office in Kielce.
