“Design your bicycle and show it to the world”

The LINK 2012 competition – the 1st phase conclusion. Winners to be announced in two weeks’ time at the KIELCE BIKE-EXPO
The 11 authors who are to be selected in the second competition phase will have the unique chance to present and confront their bicycle designs with the business sector producers. This meeting is designed as a gateway for potential cooperation; gives the authors the possibility to develop a practical application of their designs and projects. New designs are to provide new technical solutions or outlook for the world of cycling as well as to provide an alternative to what is already available on the market. The concept behind the competition is to find a new way to ride a bicycle, to find a new form for of it or create specialised equipment and thus to define a new bicycle category. Designs will be showcased in a special zone within the framework of the KIELCE BIKE-EXPO held in Targi Kielce from 2nd to 4th October. This is an excellent opportunity to promote quality design in manufacturing and marketing; it is also the chance to bring designers and producers together.
The LINK competition is organised by the Design team in conjunction with Targi Kielce. The contest is addressed at industrial design artists and bicycle aficionados. The deadline for design submission passed on 31st August 2012; the jury panel has selected the 11 best designs which will compete in the second contest phase. The nominees are to produce presentation posters before 26th September.
