Dominik Strzelec - the star of TTV and HGTV TV comes to the jubilee Home, Garden and You trade fair! He is known to a wider audience as the host of the popular TV shows "Fault", "Garden that Blows Your Mind" or "Hunting for the Garden". Many visitors came to the meeting with the expert. Some of them quietly admitted that they also dreamed of having him arrange their garden.  

The specialist, ahousehold name in Poland, pointed out that trends should not determine what we do in the garden. Still we can draw inspiration from trends. - Anyone who got tired of working on their knees, in the mud in their own garden understands how much work it takes to create such a place. They know that it is impossible to keep up with yearly changes. Put trends on yor “no-mind list. You can get inspired by trends, but you need to feel good in your space- said Dominik Strzelec.

- For me, trends come last in a garden design project;  colors and materials that I use for the arrangement are important - explains the expert. - I recommend using no more than three colors in gardens up to 150 square meter, only larger areas are the places to go crazy, but still in moderation. If someone likes the rustic style, I will work only in large gardens.

The specialist suggests a combination of white with violet and fuchsia, alternately white with yellow and orange, or white with green and dark green, for example. - The last trio is elegant, refined and one never gets bored with it - emphasized Dominik Strzelec.

He considers stone, marble or sandstone, to be a timeless hardening material. - Concrete will also work in many places,  Pebia company, with which I work, gives me a lot of joy and the opportunity to prove how useful it can be Concrete is a maintenance-free material, provided that you know where and how to put it. Dominik Strzelec: My garden is taken care of by… my wife

The expert admitted that he had thousands of arrangements of various gardens in his portfolio,  he revealed that he himself felt like a "shoemaker without shoes" because he had not had a garden for a long time. 17 years ago, he arranged 1,200 square meters with his family. As he described, the garden is divided into two parts;  the front one is made only of plants, while behind the house he and his wife arranged a space to relax. There are e.g. gazebo, woodshed, morsing tub.  He used three colors - white, green and dark green for the arrangement, and five species of plants - roses, yews, boxwoods, geraniums and hazelnuts.  - My wife takes care of the garden, but when I come home, I take over the duties.  We also use new technologies to help, such as mowing robots and irrigation systems - says Dominik Strzelec.  

During the meeting with the expo visitors, the expert also talked about the backstage of the "Hunting for the garden" TV show, advised on how to arrange a balcony, and suggested how to deal with unwanted plants that self-sprout. Many people took a souvenir photo.
