The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was established in 1989; the time when Poland underwent thorough systemic changes. The Fund was the first public institution of this type in the world. The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management participates in various pro-ecological investments, including those of strategic importance for the country.

The support of important industry institutions for the EKOTECH expo has resulted in making the trade show an even more comprehensive meeting of the municipal sector. 8 and 9 March 2023 - this is the time of the 23rd unveiling of EKOTECH - the International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo at Targi Kielce. The show offers the opportunity to learn about the latest industry solutions and establish contacts with prospective customers. Essential contracts and agreements with international organisations associating with the municipal sector companies are signed at Targi Kielce. Ekotech expo is the presentation arena; the products and services portfolio includes manufacturers of machines and equipment used in waste management, manufacturers of waste transport solutions, and services related to waste segregation. The EKOTECH agenda includes several industry meetings and conferences, such as  the International Waste Management Forum (MIFOD), the conference "Together We Create Ekological Świętokrzyskie" and a block of lectures targeted at vehicle dismantling stations and waste processing plants. There will be a plethora of consultation points where you can get information on proper municipal waste management and waste segregation rules

The 23rd EKOTECH - the International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo is complemented with the International Fair of Power Industry and Renewable Enerfy Sources ENEX.
