EXPO-GAS DELVES INTO THE HEART OF THE PROBLEM
The meeting started at 11.00 and ended at 16.00. The organisers divided the session into two parts. The first session focussed in energy efficiency in gas industry. Energy efficiency and cold recovery in LNG regasification installations were the main discussion topics. The next part focussed on operating costs reduction in gas transport. The talks focused on heat recovery in pumping stations and the use of waste energy in gas stations.
The meeting participants sought knowledge about gas transport costs minimizing, including internal coatings applications.
- Reduction in the pumping stations number or installed power reduction in such stations while maintaining the throughput. A reduced flow resistance may require lower working pressure in the gas pipeline, which in turn mar require reduced wall thickness of the pipes - explained Professor Andrzej Osiadacz from the Warsaw University of Technology.
The meeting was organised by the Chamber of the Natural Gas Industry. The "conference was held in the Targi Kielce Congress Centre.
