“Farming must be profitable.” AGROTECH 2024 officially commenced
- I hope that farmers will be able to return to planning the farms development without worrying about the future. Our farmers face many challenges, today respond to those related to technology. Our role, the role of the expo centre, is to prepare the highest quality event that will influence the development of farms and, in the case of Las-Expo, the wood and forestry industry. Our trade fair is also the platform for talks and discussions about improving everyday work, I believe that our visitors will make the most of what is on show. The exhibitors' offer is excellent - said Andrzej Mochoń, Targi Kielce President of the Management Board.
The chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Rural Areas of the National Development Council - the advisory body to the President of the Republic of Poland, Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, emphasised how important cooperation across party lines is in difficult times for agriculture. Czesław Siekierski, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, began his speech by emphasising his attachment to Kielce and the Świętokrzyskie region.
- Agriculture must be profitable, because agriculture requires inputs; the modern machines that we will see at the trade fair seek their prospective owners - said Minister Siekierski.
At the end of the ceremony, Minister Siekierski presented awards for services to Polish agriculture to President Andrzej Mochon and the director of the AGROTECH project, Mr Kamil Perz.
- You do so much for agriculture and you spoke so beautifully about it today - this is well-deserved award - joked the minister, awarding the President.
