First day of NECROEXPO - Targi Kielce is throbbing with life!
The Necroexpo gathered the entire funeral industry, and thus became an excellent platform for presenting the latest achievements, technologies and trends in funeral and related services. 127 exhibitors from Poland and abroad presented their products, sharing global-scale absolute novelties! For example, Silenta presented urnomats, i.e. parcel lockers for collecting urns! Carmen, a clothing manufacturer, held a fashion show for funeral home workers. On the catwalk there were models who presented the chic offered in various colours and patterns. The expo halls also featured memorial jewellery made using ashes, luxurious hearses, and accessories for thanatocosmetics.
- This year's SACROEXPO edition certainly establishes new records. We have been together for 20 years; we appreciate your presence and your willingness to put the best foot forward at the expo - said Dr. Andrzej Mochoń, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce.

Andrzej Mochoń. These are invaluable people - emphasized Łukasz Koperski, President of the Polish Chamber of International Federation of Thanatologists Associations, during the opening ceremony.
There were also many lectures and shows during the expo. Aneta Dobroch delighted the audience with her presentation on "A beautiful way to combine Catholic funerals with an element of secularism." The book "Everything you need to Know Before You Die. Secrets of the funeral industry" is Małgorzata Węglarz’s shared experience in creating content of the funeral service. The author revealed several interesting threads appearing in her reportage.
The event also included the International Timed Grave Digging Competition, which witnessed the Hungarian team triumphant. They completed the task with maximum care and at the shortest time, coming ahead of teams of Slovakia, Czekia and Poland. Exciting combat was closely followed by both exhibitors and visitors. The graves were assessed by an international jury, which paid attention to: digging technique, accuracy, time, aesthetics and filling. The winners received a commemorative statuette, but they also gained international recognition!
NECROEXPO attracted the attention of not only hundreds of visitors, but also national media, such as TVN24, TTV, Polsat, and TVP. Targi Kielce also featured the award-winning documentary director Vita Maria Drygas. NECROEXPO inspired her to start working on a new project regarding the funeral industry.
The 10th International Funeral and Cemetery Fair NECROEXPO was held from 7 to 9 June 2024 in Targi Kielce.
