The RM Publishing House series has been appreciated by reviewers who unanimously admit that individual volumes give the impression of an extremely colourful and interesting Minecraft session. As the author of the Juniorowo.pl blog admits in her review of the first volume of the series - The book's authors make the book even a better read - Frigiel is a French YouTuber who has been publishing Minecraft movies since 2011. The fact that he is both the author of the story and its main character reflects the character of the game. In the Minecraft world, a game character is the player's alter ego.
However, the author of the Naszekluski.pl blog compares the series to The Lord of the Ring for younger readers - Of all the Minecraft books I have read so far, this one is my favourite. Why? Probably because I was brought up on Tolkien's stories and I got used to plots where an unaware hero is suddenly torn from their peaceful life and has to set off on a dangerous journey in search of the truth. The hero is pushed to find a way to save the world. Quite an interesting story, humour, skilfully built suspense and a simple, yet true message - you do not always have to trust authorities. The story created by the winners is not always a true story and that you have to go your own way rather than be guided by the opinions of others.
