Gala uniformed classes roll-call at 2021's MSPO in Targi Kielce
The 400 uniformed-class students of secondary schools gathered at the International Defence Industry Exhibition for the official roll-call. The function included the awarding ceremony; the Minister of National Defence recognised the winner of this year's edition of the knowledge competition on the Polish Army - the Military Extra-Class. The competition winner is the John Paul II Technical Education School Complex in Tarnowskie Góry.The competition runner-up School complex no. 2 in Nowy Sącz. And the third ex aequo place: Vocational Training Centre - School Complex in Rybnik and Secondary Cyprian Kamil Norwid School No. 2 in Stargard.
The Minister also addressed the gathered; he referred to the fact that the number of uniformed classes keeps growing every year. And this year the number of students has exceeded 15,000. - Thanks to your attitude, Poland is safer. We appreciate your approach. I thank your teachers and educators because it is their work that makes it possible to increase your knowledge level, develop your skills, develop your talents, and you acquire skills that are invaluable for the security of our homeland - Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said during the roll-call. He also emphasised that this year 16 schools have commenced their education within the scope of "CYBER.MIL WITH CLASS" programme. - This program concentrated on educating young people's cyber defence-related capabilities. This is the response to 21st century challenge, i.e. cyber-attacks, which have and will be the threat. My task, as the Minister of National Defence, is to create conditions to counteract such assaults - he added
After the ceremony, students visited MSPO, become familiar with the products presented by the Polish Armaments Group, the national exhibition of the United States and the exhibition of the Polish Armed Forces.
