Great excitement stirred by the commencement of the 79th Tour de Pologne
This year's route of the oldest cycling race covers the four provinces: Świętokrzyskie, Lubelskie, Podkarpackie and Małopolskie. The cycling elite set off on 30 July from the Market Square in Kielce, to reach Błonia Park in Krakow on August 5, having covered over 1,200 kilometres in total. Targi Kielce is one of the partners of the first stage of the 79th Tour de Pologne.
Tour de Pologne is the cycling Champions League which attracts representatives of almost 50 countries from Europe, South and North America, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and even Africa. In Kielce, the best cyclists representing 23 teams set off to join the competition. Kielce Market Square, after eight years’ break, again host cyclists competing for the leader's yellow jersey. Then, a Pole, Rafał Majka, enjoyed the victory in the whole tour; it was the first time in history. What will it be like this year? We will find out at the beginning of August.

Friday, 29 July 2022, Kielce Market Square:
18.00-19: 35 - presentation of the teams of the 79th Tour de Pologne
20.00-21.00 A spectacular show by Krystian Herba, a six-time Guinness record holder, the semi-finalist of the Poland’s Got talent is also the performance to see. Herba uses a bike jumping technique to climb up the stairs and thus conquer the tallest buildings around the world
21.00-22.00 - the Fair Play Cover Band performance
Saturday, 30 July 2022, Kielce Market Square:
10.15 - start confirmation
11.00 - arrival of the city and the region authorities The media time
11.35 - the race ceremonial set off. The starter of the first stage - the Mayor of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta.
11.40 – Sandomierska str. start proper, 2.3 km from the ceremonial set off line
"I invite all cycling enthusiasts and all sports fans to witness the set off and follow the race on television and social media" - encourages Czesław Lang, the Olympic vice-champion and the director of Tour de Pologne.
