Heat treatment of metals - the Elkon lecture at the Foundry Goes Green seminar

17 september 2024
Doctor Engineer Krzysztof Konopka, President of ELKON and Doctor Engineer Zdzisław Konopka, Vice President of ELKON join the first day of the Foundry Goes Green seminar and discuss heat treatment of metals, i.e. hardening, tempering, annealing, soldering and melting. The presentation focuses on “Heat treatment of metal: The technological possibilities in induction hardening and soldering enhancement with the use of a wide frequency-range generator.”

Discusses heat treatment relation to the energy transformation that the sector is experiencing. Thus, the authors actively participate in the "Intelligent Energy" Seminar at the Silesian University of Technology. The induction of the patented boiler prototype developed and manufactured in the company offers an innovative solution in heating transformation. The electrotechnologies discussed at the lecture also relate to high-temperature heat treatment in industries other than metal and municipal heating, which will be clearly emphasised at the lecture.

"ELKON" was established in 1983 and from the very beginning its profile has focused on the development and implementation of specialised electrotechnological devices. Each solution offers its own specifics, including minimizing electricity consumption, reducing electromagnetic field emissions, ecology and ergonomics, and automating and robotizing technological processes. The devices are manufactured and delivered, assembled, commissioned and handed over to the investor on a turnkey basis. The devices have been awarded numerous Targi Kielce medals.

The Foundry Goes Green seminar is held on both expo days, 24 and 25 September, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Speech Arena in E Expo Hall.
