How to introduce cosmetics from Poland to the Malaysian markets. Lecture on the second day of Slavic B2Beauty
The Contracting expo for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries held at Targi Kielce is bringing the first results. Relationships and contracts are signed. Hundreds of business meetings are held during the event; at the same time, there are lectures which disseminate specialist information related to production and export.
Those gathered during for lecture by Khairul Ridhwan bin Zahardin from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency learned about the introduction of products to Malaysia. The specialist explained the very important issue for Muslims - what is allowed according to religious regulations.
- Products placed on this market must bear Halal certified; the seal is provided by the Polish Halal Institute in Poznań. THese certificates are respected by Malaysia - he said.
The audience learned how to go through the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s procedures, he explained the steps regulated in the cosmetic law in this country. - A manufacturer must meet the product safety requirements regarding content, packaging and labels, which need to contain certain information. A producer must also find a Malaysian product importer and pay the appropriate fees. Then, after prolonged formalities, a decision is issued, if positive, cosmetics can be placed on the market. Otherwise, a procedure starts the procedure from scrathc - explained Khairul Ridhwan bin Zahardin.
The specialist also talked about the situation on the Malaysian market and indicated the largest e-commerce sales platforms, such as Shopee, Lazada and Zalora. The most popular online stores are Golden Corner or Shins.my, while the brick&motar ones are Sephora, Shins, MagicBoo, which also offer Polish brands. Our domestic companies have already marked their presence on the Malaysian market: Inglot, Beauty Kids, LaRive and Miraculum.
