Industry electrification discussed at the Foundry Goes Green seminar

Michał Karol Kozak of Kanthal will be one of the speakers at this year's Foundry Goes Green conference. In his lecture, he will discuss the electrification of industry and the challenges it faces and the benefits resulting from the changes

Kanthal is a renowned Swedish manufacturer of resistance materials and resistive heating materials,  for years the company's offer included a wide range of specialist products that are used in various industrial sectors. Kanthal's products porfolio includes

  • Kanthal APM and APMT are advanced materials based on iron, chromium, and aluminium (FeCrAl), which have exceptional resistance to high temperatures and oxidation and are often used in high-temperature applications.
  • Globar SiC - heaters made of silicon carbide (SiC), known for their ability to operate at very high temperatures and long service life, often used in industrial furnaces.
  • Kanthal Super - heaters composed of molybdenum and molybdenum disilicate (MoSi2) with exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures, making them an ideal choice for extreme operating conditions.
  • Tubothal - heaters with efficient and uniform heating, used in various industrial applications.
  • Flow Heater - heating devices designed to heat flowing gases, with high efficiency and precise temperature control.
  • Fibrothal - heating modules made of ceramic fibres that ensure rapid heating and cooling as well as energy efficiency.

Products are widely used in various sectors, including the metallurgical, glass, ceramics and electronics industries;  technologically advanced solutions make Kanthal a valued supplier of heating materials around the world.

Michał Karol Kozak boasts 20 years of experience in the industrial sector;  he has been a part of Kanthal since 2007. Now he is responsible for product development and sales on the Polish market and in the Baltic countries.

The seminar’s main objective is to promote new technologies designed to reduce CO2 emissions and exonomise energy consumption in foundry processes.
