– For the first time in history, two of our trade fairs are held in the same place and at the same time; Autostrada-New Infrastructure Expo’s in its 27th unveiling  Everything has changed in Poland over 27 years. 27 years ago there were only 520 kilometers of expressways in Poland. This year, 144 kilometers will be added to the network, so this shows the scale of changes – added Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce.

54 companies presented offers at the new the Autostrada New Infrastructure Expo. Poland, Germany, Sweden, and Malaysia are represented;  the exhibitors’ list includes manufacturers of semi-trailers and trailers for trucks, construction machines, and road traffic safety devices. Companies offering rental services and servicing of specialized vehicles present a range of products, including exhaust systems for construction machines, cranes and measurement equipment.

– Much has been built in Poland over the years, a lot is being built and will continue to be built. We face challenges directly related to the implementation of large government programs, such as the roundabout construction program, with the largest road investments in Poland.  But let's not forget that there are also smaller programs, such as the National Road Network Strengthening Program;  in order to prepare, order and implement road investments in a very efficient and smooth manner, we need to exchange and consolidate knowledge and experience... We are glad that we can join the expo. I think the wide offer prepared by the expo organisers is a response to the expectations and needs of the industry – added Grzegorz Dziedzina, Deputy General, Director of National Roads and Motorways, at the expo opening gala.

Ecology and road construction

The ENEX Expo is accompanied by the parallelly-held International Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo EKOTECH; both in Kielce exhibition and congress centre. This event is dedicated to the municipal industry;  however, the theme brings together the two events. Sustainable development and "green activities" that are crucial for environmental protection.

– These two areas - ecology and the road industry seem separate, but they have a lot in common. In the last decade, gigantic technological progress has been made both in the world and in Europe in the field of waste processing in road construction. This ecological progress is also Poland’s experience;  knowledge is not only widespread in research, academic and teaching centers. Contracting companies already have this knowledge;  in recent years, they have also made quite large investments in the latest technologies – mentioned Przemysław Kolanowski, President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Road Construction Industry.

Supreme content 

Many fringe and complementary events take place during the Infrastructure Construction Expo. Famous specialists chair meetings on expansion of the road network in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, methods of financing projects and the implementation of innovative solutions on construction sites.

The opening gala of the Autostrada New Infrastructure Expo, the EKOTECH Environmental Protection and Waste Management Fair and Targi Kielce Hackathon were also attended by Doctor Hab.   Janusz Bohatkiewicz, General Director of the Road and Bridge Research Institute, Krzysztof Rusiecki, vice-president of the Polish Chamber of Steel Structures, Zbigniew Kotlarek, President of the Management Board of the Polish Road Congress association and Józef Bryk, the Świętokrzyskie Voivode.
