Luxurious Argon GTL, with McLaren equipment, premieres at Aviation Expo
The Argon Grand Turismo Long gyroplane (for long-distance travel) is equipped with a ROTAX 915iS engine, 141 HP capacity. The power rating is confirmed by the results of tests carried out on a dynamometer by the well-known and appreciated ROTAX engine tuner, i.e. the Edge Performance from Norway. Furthermore, the model presented at Targi Kielce is equipped with the Kanardia Nessis III Glass Cockpit, i.e. a large, comfortable display with flight, engine and map parameters. The machine also has a 2-axis autopilot, radio and transponder.
The Manufaktura Lotnicza independently produces composites necessary for the construction of gyroplanes - including fuselages, tail and rotors. The Argon GTL is no exception - the gyroplane was made of 30% aramid and 70% carbon fibres.
Interestingly, the Argon GTL, presented at Targi Kielce, uses McLaren seats, which are appreciated by lovers of luxurious solutions. The available colour variants are also eye-catching; the varnishes come from the McLaren and Lamborghini palettes.
Customers can order a gyroplane in the Shadow Line option (with all metal parts anodized in black) and carbon Look - with carbon on the airframe and interior. The Argon GTL presented in Kielce demonstrated both variants. The price - slightly exceeded 189,000 euros.
