20 june 2024
We talk with the co-organizer of the event, Marek Marzec, Ewa-Bis president, one of Poland’s largest exporters of vegetables and frozen foods. The importance of the Private Labels Forum held at Targi Kielce on 6 November 2024, and trends in this industry discussed. The entrepreneur is also a valued specialist in the commercial sector. Forum tickets now available!

Mr. President, the first Private Label Forum accompanied the Private Label Expo last year  and attracted a significant group of participants, who were eager to learn more. What is unique about this event?

The exact format remains this year;  the Private Labels Expo co-organized by Ewa-Bis is held on 6 and 7 November. On the first day, we will hold the Private Labels Forum; we are already working to prepare the seminar. Indeed, there is great interest in participating in the event  because the audience finds most important aspect - the credibility of the experts who discuss private labels. The speakers are people with many years of experience, representatives of retail chains, and manufacturers who have been in this business for many years. Their ideas are based on experience and knowledge. This expertise constitutes the main value of the Private Labels Forum.

What was the participants’ feedback after the last year’s forum? Which aspects of the lecture and discussion were the most important?

The participants paid the most attention to practical aspects and the main element - the discussions on the profitability of the private label business. Let's be honest, this issue is essential for producers, distributors and retail chains as they want to attract as many customers as possible and build a network of loyal consumers by selling their private label products.

What topics will be discussed at the next Private Labels Forum on 6 November 2024?

We continue the good tradition and  invite outstanding experts, representatives of retail chains, the largest private label producers and exporters, and people who deal with market research and analysing trends. We especially emphasize the importance of private labels in many product groups, where the share of private label sales has already exceeded 50 percent.

Mr. President, what are your forecasts regarding the market presence of private labels?

Observing the geopolitical and economic situation in the European Union countries and Poland, the development trend of private labels is expected to continue. Consumers pay attention to household budget and expenses; they check how much they spend on everyday purchases. Private label products are often of comparable quality vis a vis branded products and still can be purchased at a lower price. Many retail chains develop their own private labels of higher quality, and some products are comparable to premium brand products. Good quality private label products are most valuable for building customer loyalty. We will talk about price and quality at the 6 November Private Labels Forum. This will be a time of constrictive, uplifting and interesting discussions. We look forward to seeing you.
