The Mobile Museum is a 18- metre vehicle painted in papal colours. The 62 square-metre semi-trailer is the showcase for the exhibits. The museum is also equipped with multimedia; and it is the presentation place of the films about Karol Wojtyła’s life – in Wadowice, Cracow, Rome.

Father Zygmunt Kosowski of Saint Stanislaw Publishing House has been the initiator of this “wheeled museum”, and the project was realised by John Paul II Centre “Have no Fear!”. The truck which travels all over Poland and calls in even the smallest villages is supposed to make the visitors familiar with the person and the heritage of John Paul II.

The mobile museum will also call in Kielce for SACROEXPO (13-15 June) will be the presentation place for numerous memorabilia, and among them the shoes John Paul II was wearing, his cassock, skull-cap, vest-cardigan which he used to wear when travelling on cold winter days, the breviary and the rosary. The memorabilia have been donated for the exhibition by Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, Archdiocese Museum in Krakow, Metropolitan Curia in Krakow. Some of them have never been on exhibition before.
