This year's Forum is held under the "ES" banner, which stands for "System Efficiency" in waste management. In this edition of the industry meeting, you can take a holistic look at the Polish waste management system in comparison to other European countries.

- Kielce is an ideal place for such a forum - said the meeting organiser, Andrzej Bednarek, president of AK NOVA, at the opening ceremony - although we are from Poznań, we have organised this Forum at the EKOTECH in Kielce for 10 years and that will not change.

The Forum hosts representatives from Slovakia and Portugal who present their systems, challenges, and directions, as well as a specialist in landfill leachate treatment systems from Austria. The speakers represent institutions that create and support the waste management system (NFOŚiGW, IOŚ-PIB, Sejm of the Republic of Poland); outstanding lawyers from law firms specialising in serving waste management entities (Ziemski, SDZ Legal). The conference speakers list includes lawyers, technologists, companies management representing waste collection and processing industry, and scientists who boast the business-sector related expertise. The event was organised by AK NOVA and Ekorum.

Bożena Staniak, vice-president of the management board of Targi Kielce, who took part in the opening ceremony, encouraged the event participants to become familiar with the exhibition - the EKOTECH and also the AUTOSTRADA New Infrastrukture Construction Expo held simultaneously.
