Mr Andrzej Duda, the Republic of Poland President's address - It was visionary to develop MSPO
Mr Andrzej Duda, the Republic of Poland President's visited Targi Kielce on 5 September, the visit was part of the celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the International Defence Industry Exhibition. The event began with a short film presenting the origins and the history of MSPO. - We heard President Andrzej Mochoń speaking in the film. Already at the first Defence Industry Exhibition, he said it would be the largest expo in Central and Eastern Europe. This promise has come true, which needs to be highlighted; this is owed to the Targi Kielce President, its whole team and associates, as well as all subsequent authorities of the city of Kielce. MSPO has become a great event on a global scale - emphasised the President of the Republic of Poland.
MSPO is the most important exhibition of the defence industry in Central and Eastern Europe and the third largest trade show on the Old Continent; ranked after Paris and London.
The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, emphasised that the expo has been very important for Poland, especially when there was an armed conflict across the eastern border.
- The war made us all realise that the time of peace is over. This fact became an impulse for the development of our domestic defence industry and an exceptional care for security. We need to modernise our armed forces rapidly. From this point of view, it was truly visionary to develop this event, i.e. the International Defence Industry Exhibition - said the President of the Republic of Poland. - I am here for the fifth time and I am proud of it.
The President of the Republic of Poland emphasised that the defence industry expo has primarily enhanced the industry development the army modernisation, and thus increase the security of soldiers on the battlefield Soldiers are the most important. - Bearing in mind the military industry's development, the soldier is irreplaceable; they are the most important element of the army. That is why the defence expo are is vital - he said.
Over 600 exhibitors from 33 countries take part in the 30th MSPO. - Today the great world has gathered in Kielce, and Targi Kielce is an important part of the great world - said Andrzej Duda. - I have no doubts that in view of what is happening in our part of Europe, many contracts will be discussed and finalised during the International Defence Industry Exhibition. I hope that contracts will also be concluded with companies which are a part of the Polish Armaments Group, and these will contribute to the further development of our economy and enhance Poland's security.
The President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, also visited the Polish Armed Forces Exhibition and Turkey's Lead Nation Exhibition.
