MSPO and LOGISTYKA 2021 - the commencement
This year's MSPO, as well as the LOGISTYKA Fair, held at the same time, bring together 400 exhibitors from 27 countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Spain, Netherlands, Israel, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Great Britain and Italy. The four-day trade fair will see numerous agreements and cooperation agreements signed with leading representatives of Poland's and the global defence industry. The MSPO includes the exhibition of the Polish Armed Forces held under the banner of "PERSEVER-CONTROL-OVERCOME", the Defender awarding gal, the gala of the 9th edition of the State Security Leader National Competition, awarding function of the "Proud Veteran" Statuette presented by the Association of Injured and Victims on Missions Outside the Country., and the Blue Ribbon award ceremony. MSPO is accompanied with a plethora of conferences, seminars and business-insiders meetings.
The opening ceremony of this year's show commenced with the National Anthem of the Republic of Poland performed by the Military Orchestra from Radom. The Targi Kielce's Management Board's President Andrzej Mochoń PhD, shared his personal joy with the participants of the ceremony. The CEO found the possibility to organise the trade show - (...) "the most important thing, true happiness. I am overfilled with joy because we are able to meet (...) after 11 months of of the sector's dormancy. The pandemic changed the industry, but it has not changed the willingness to meet the essence of the exhibition industry. (...). For 29 years, MSPO has accompanied the changes taking place in the Polish armed forces. For example, Poland's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty, Polish soldiers presence at the foreign missions, the Polish Army professionalisation. The Expo has also been the display for the changes in the Polish defence industry. This industry consolidation and the emergence of many great private companies have been a part of the MSPO story. (...) Every year, cooperation with the Ministry of National Defence has contributed to the success of our project. - added President Mochoń. The Mayor of the City of Kielce, Bogdan Wenta, emphasised the importance of Targi Kielce for our city's functioning and development, even in the difficult circumstances of this year's exhibition. - Once again, we can host representatives of the defence industry at Targi Kielce (...) Our meeting is marked with another challenging year for the trade fair industry. The pandemic continues. Yet you show today that the opportunity to meet, even in these difficult times, is the most important for the industry in general, including the defence industry. Thank you for this support. (…) May the MSPO expo abound with fruitful meetings! - Mayor Bogdan Wenta wished the audience gathered in the Congress Centre.
Mr. Paweł Soloch, Head of the National Security Bureau, will read the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda's address because President was unable to attend the function. The address contained congratulations related to the organisation of the exhibition, which attracts so many exhibitors every year, even in such difficult times. President also expressed his thanks to all those who decided to participate in the Expo and emphasised the role of the sense of security in the modern world. President also pointed out an important role of the Ministry of National Defence and the important mission - the modernisation of the Polish Army. The agreement between the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Armaments Group was also indicated as critical.
Zbigniew Koniusz, the Voivode of Świętokrzyskie Province, read a letter from the Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki. Important observations about the Expo were conveyed in the letter. According to the Prime Minister, the trade show is an important place to promote the Polish defence industry in the international arena. The Minister emphasised the fact that the global MSPO format is an excellent opportunity for promotion for Polish companies. The defence industry is a guarantee of safety and a flywheel for our economy. The address also contained thanks to the organisers of the Expo. They were praised for creating a platform for talks. The Prime Minister wished the Expo participants a fruitful time.
Sebastian Chwałek, the President of the Polish Armaments Group, noted - Over the years, both Targi Kielce and the producers have created an event of great value for our part of Europe. This has been the place to conclude key contracts, hold interesting discussions and present new products. It is a special place for PGZ because of the value of the contracts concluded here. (…) Here we win new contracts, enter third markets. We want to make this place of discussion platform about the future of the Polish defence industry. (...) MSPO is the event we all wait for the whole year. I invite you to all our exhibitions. - added the President of PGZ, who also read a letter from Jarosław Kaczyński, Deputy Prime Minister. The letter expressed the Minister's joy because of such a great event of supreme quality. This has only been possible owing to the cooperation of many institutions. Law and Justice head - Mr. Kaczyński also expressed his hope that this year's MSPO will result in many successes for the participants, many new contracts and new perspectives. MSPO will significantly contribute to the modernisation of the Polish army.
Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence, who also partook in the opening ceremony, said - Let me start by saying that MSPO in Kielce is a strong brand, a supreme Polish brand. This is the 29th trade show; it has always been and will be a very important event for the defence industry (...) We live in difficult times, in dangerous times. We can see what is happening on the Polish-Belarusian border (...). From here I would like to thank the soldiers, representatives of the Polish services. (…) Thanks for protecting the security of the homeland, for fulfilling your vocation. As a minister, my task is to create the best conditions for military services, for soldiers, to provide the best equipment, and this is what MSPO is for. (...) Today, very important agreements will be signed - they determine the future of the Polish army. (...) Poland improves its armaments; this is a response to the need. The Polish authorities' objective is to ensure the security of our homeland; we have consistently fulfilled this objective.(...) We will give up, we will enhance our safety and security in the coming years. - added Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.
The International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO continues until 10 September. The program includes, inter alia, a visit of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
