The oldest Turkish military band will add splendour to the opening ceremony

The 21st International Defence Industry Exhibition will commence with the Turkish Mehteran Millitary Band in conjunction with Polish Armed Forces Representative Band. The orchestras will play the national anthems of Poland and Turkey followed by the Turkish March and other popular compositions from Poland and Turkey.

Mehteran is the oldest Europe’s military orchestra; the ensemble’s presence at the MSPO marks the 90th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Turkey as well as the 2014’s 600th jubilee of diplomatic relations development between our country and the Ottoman Empire. The Orchestra’s last concert in Poland took place in Krakow in 1983 during the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Vienna. The Turkish orchestra will also perform in six other cities of Poland within the framework of jubilees’ celebrations.

MSPO is an exceptional event of special significance for the Polish business industry. he trade fair visitors are the business sector insiders and professionals who represent Polish Army, the Police, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Interior, Polish Government as well as foreign delegations. The upcoming edition is held from 2nd to 5th September 2013.
