15 million photographs, 20 thousand recordings and films and the innovative ZoSIA software

NAC means archiving, digitisation and digital materials available on-line

National Digital Archives is the central, state-owned archive which was created in 2008 as the response to the rapidly developing recording and data storage technology and archive availability. The NAC objectives are archiving, digitisation and making the digitalised materials available on-line; and the material comprises photographs, voice and film recordings.

National Digital Archives acts as the Competence Centre for digitalisation of the cultural heritage. In order to fulfil this task NAC has created the Integrated Archival Information System (ZoSIA) – the software which makes it possible to manage the archive resources in the possession of all kinds of institutions, for example museums. The NAC data set comprises over 15 million photographs, 30 thousand voice recordings and 2 thousand films. For more info: www.nac.gov.pl

On 13th June at 1 p.m. the presentation of the Integrated Archival Information System ZoSIA will be held at the NAC exhibition stand. ZoSIA programme is a comprehensive solution for all kind of institutions which archive data in their possession, which includes museums. The system makes it possible to process the data stored in the archive and to make it available on the internet. This is a non-commercial project, fully developed by NAC

The NAC exhibition stand will also be the showcase for archive photos and the exceptional set of educational games “NAC for Children”.
