Non-governmental organisations’ offer for both young people and seniors. NGO-EXPO in Kielce - a plethora of activities presented
For two days of the 2nd National Fair of Non-Governmental Organizations NGO-EXPO, foundations, associations, clubs, activation centers present an extremely wide and diverse offer, atrgeted at institutions, but above all to individual recipients. When visiting Targi Kielce, you can learn about the opportunities offered by non-governmental organisations in the field of physical and mental activity, rehabilitation and treatment. Sports activities, including those aimed at people with disabilities, and even survival experiences come in abundance.
Volunteers are an indispensable support for non-governmental organisations, which is why the Regional Volunteer Center could not miss the event. – Acting as a part of the European Solidarity Corps, our volunteers cooperate with local and foreign institutions, helping them with various tasks. Many people still do not know what we do. Our presence here will allow us to present our offer and show our activities - says Solomiia Panchyshyn, EKS coordinator at the Regional Volunteer Centre. Every year, hundreds of RCW volunteers take part in dozens of projects, thei voluntarily join foreign programs, such as Erasmus. - Owing to the cooperation with our Centre, parents can be sure that their children are safe and work in legal conditions - adds Solomiia Panchyshyn.
Several hundred exhibitors, dozens of institutions that offer social, health, educational and cultural support, and among them the Kielce Association of Hope for the Family which has counteracted social pathologies for years. The centre educates, eliminates barriers, conducts training; the Centre has joined the expo to present opportunities to activate people with disabilities and help in everyday functioning. – We try to organise free time for people of all ages. The eactivities are presented at our expo stand, but we also show that our association can play an important role in raising young people and be a great support for families. We are not indifferent to seniors and people with disabilities, and we also try to encourage them to leave the house and actively participate in life, despite certain barriers - says Beata Zawada, director of Wolna Strefa clubs, run by the Hope for the Family Association.
The DOGadanka Foundation from Wola Kopcowa near Kielce also has a stand with an offer for people with disabilities. They act through sport and its futsal team. The Masovian foundation I WANT TO LIVE shows the possibilities of helping seriously ill children from low-income families by financing medical treatment and rehabilitation. The Diabetes Foundation promotes pro-health behavior, they came to Kielce with a proposal for people with diabetes.
NGO-EXPO is the chance to learn a lot about the importance of scouting in raising children. This aspect is taken care of by the "Whole Life" foundation and the Polish Scouting Association. Specialists from the Jurassic School of Survival Częstochowa talk about how the practical use of the survival way of thinking leads to resourcefulness in many aspects of life and offer training. Experts from the Institute of Stress Psychology from the Łódź Voivodeship discuss the Stress Reduction Program and share their knowledge about tools reducing stredd level.
Members of the Polish Association of Country Housewives' Circles also present their work and offer regional pastries and serve folk music. Interesting proposals can be seen at the stands of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, the Rysy Foundation, which offers projects for young people. Targi Kielce also hosts the Odra-Niemen Association promoting Polish history, the Association of Active Cultural Animators, the Association of Art Lovers, the National Network of Folk Universities, the Learn Health Foundation, and the Royal Senior Sports Club.
