Nuclear medicine given a new makeover

The 13th Congress has brought together over 350 doctors and scientists

The sessions within the framework of the 13th Congress of Polish Society of Nuclear Medicine have brought together 350 specialists. The event has been held in Targi Kielce for the first time

The leitmotif of the Congress is “Molecular imaging and radioisotope targeted therapy – a new image of nuclear medicine”. The world-class specialists present the achievements and capabilities of nuclear medicine in the service of other medical specialisations where nuclear medicine us used for patient diagnosis and treatment.

The scientific sessions is the presentation forum for the achievements which result form the cooperation of the nuclear medicine specialists from the leading Polish centres with other branches of medicine. The lectures are also delivered by the special guests representing the European Association of Nuclear Medicine; the conference proceedings papers will be published in the renowned medical journal – the Nuclear Medicine Review.

The Convention encompasses the 13th General Assembly of Polish Society of Nuclear Medicine; the report on Board’s activity will presented at the meeting. The three-day conference’s framework comprises of the health-service managers’ meeting (directors of health centres, national consultants in different fields of medicine, voivodeships’ marshals and local governments) accompanied by the National Health Service and the Ministry of Health representatives. The helath service financing, modern medicine treatment costs and efficiency will be discussed in the forum.

The Convention is held simultaneously with the Fair of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Equipment and Appliances “Medicine of XXI Century”; the showcase for the latest technical achievements.
