The first day of the Competition for Construction Equipment Operators is held in scope of the MASZBUD expo and organised by the Institute of Mechanised Construction and Rock Mining in conjunction with the Polish Construction Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The event commenced with the theoretical part. The competition participants were briefed on health and safety regulations at the construction site, operator training system and contemporary methods of practical training for machine operators.

Once on the training grounds, the contest participants are in for special competition - barrels loaded with the front scoop of the loader-excavator, slalom between obstacles, punching 4 balloons with a tool gripped with the excavator ladle, moving water-filled containers with four balls on water surface. The prize pool of the competition is PLN 10,000 - it is worth taking up the challenge!

All expo visitors can also try their hand at a special trainer - a dynamic tri-axial Volvo simulator; the training tool used for real EC210C excavator teams trainings. The computer controled system is mounted on a mobile, three-axis and numerically controlled platform; thus a modern, dynamic and interactive training and educationl tool has been created. The simulator acts just like a real working machine. There are over 30 different exercise and drill scenarios, ranging from basic skills, machine familiarisation tasks through the device construction and technological capabilities to very advanced tasks which include the whole array of technologically advanced task. This is a comprehensive and very curriculum which activates trainees. The simulator is displayed at the G40 booth.
