Per Artem Ad Deum presented for the ninth time
This year’s Pontifical Council for Culture’s Per Artem Ad Deum Medal has been awarded to Stanisław Rodziński; the artist, painter and essayist. The accolade has been presented in recognition of “the shades of life which embody the quest for solace and reflection upon life’s transience”. The laureate was decorated by the senior Bishop of Radom Diocese; the President of Pontifical Council for Health Care Workers, His Excellency Fr Archbishop Zygmunt Zimowski. My paintings in a sense reveal my attitude towards the world and the people I have become a friend to as well my perspective and my religious experience – said the laureate.
Other nominees of this year’s edition of the Pontifical Council for Culture’s Per Artem Ad Deum Medal are: Roman Berger – a composer from Slovakia, Philip Gröning – a director and documentary film maker from Germany, Antanas Kmieliauskas – fine artist from Lithuania and Józef Skrzek – multi-instrumentalist from Poland.
Sincere congratulations to the laureate, we also wish many successes.
