Photovoltaic panels and lithium-ion batteries recycling discussed at Ekotech
The secondary raw materials recovery, batteries and modern energy technologies are three of the 17 key industries designated in the Polish Industrial Policy. In 2050, global photovoltaic waste deposits will probably amount to approximately 60-78 million tons. However, the German think tank Agora’s research shows that by 2030, 10 percent of raw materials needed to produce electric cars will come from recycling, and in 2050 their share may increase to 40%. New opportunities for economic development are thus available, including the recovery of raw materials. The Polish recycling market’s potential is immense in this respect. Lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic panels recycling may become a new specialty of our country.
- How quickly will this market develop?
- What challenges do entrepreneurs face?
- What was the impact did the 2022 regulation on the method and detailed procedures of calculating the minimum annual collection level of waste electrical and electronic equipment? How has it influenced the development of photovoltaic panel recycling market?
Conference organisers: Waste Management and Recycling Cluster - National Key Cluster. The speakers will raise many important issues, including:
- The situation on the photovoltaic market, new trends and challenges - Daniel Dziedzic, vice-president, EkoEnergia Polska
- Treasures of PV recycling - art, science and business 2loopTech - Maciej Tora PhD., president, 2loop Tech SA
- Requirements of the Regulation of 17 August 2023 and the Efficiency of Recycling Processes - Robert Makieła, president, Wastes Service Group
Experts will share their knowledge at the conference on 11 April in Kielce at 12:00-14:00, and the F1 Conference Room, expo hall F, Targi Kielce
