Idle-time benefits transferred into entrepreneurs' accounts

Professor Gertruda Uścińska, president of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has informed that on 15 April the institution began to transfer funds to the entrepreneurs’ accounts - this is the part of the idle-time benefits scheme implementation.

According to statistics maintained by the Social Insurance Institution ZUS, by 14 April over 570,000. entrepreneurs have submitted their idle-time benefits  applications. Over 450 thousand applications relate to ZUS contributions exemption. Idle-time benefits - 97 thousand applications from self-employed workers, and over 9,000 are Idle-time benefits  applications for contractors: - The payment will be transfered as early as next Wednesday, 15 April. ZUS will transfer the money into 86.2 thousand accounts. Idle-time benefits will thus be paid.  The funds in the total amount of over PLN 172 million PLN. Entrepreneurs in Gdansk, Warsaw and Krakow will get the most of the finances - said the president of ZUS.

Idle-time benefits - this is a special monetary support form paid because of workplaces downtime.  The applications are based on the anti-crisis shield provisions - the shield entered into force in early April. The shield stipulates that entrepreneurs may submit an application for contributions exemption, payment deadline deferment, spreading arrears into instalments as well as Idle-time benefits.
