Piskorek exhibits at the Private Label Expo. See how traditional sour rye soup is produced [a movie]
On 15 and 16 November, the Targi Kielce Congress Centre hosts retail chains representatives who learn about the offers of private label producers. The FUTURE PRIVATE LABEL expo presents products from various categories; mainly food, cosmetics, household chemicals and household goods. Piskorek brand among the exhibitors. Poles know it primarily for its traditional sour soups and borscht. Piskorek has been in business since 1938.
Interestingly, the company's history began with great-grandfather Antoni, who founded a bakery in Nowa Wieś. The sourdough according to his recipe is still used to make sour soups. - This is our holy grail - says Andrzej Piskorek, owner of Żur Piskorek brand. - We have been cultivating it for over 85 years to reflect the taste that has been a part of Polish quisine for generations. Much has changed, but I am glad that I can tell our customers today that we do not compromise when it comes to sourdough cultivation. We stick to traditional production, quality ingredients and we have people who have been creating our sour rye soup and borscht for years.

Piskorek's sour rye soup and borscht have been appreciated not only in Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and England, but have also become popular in the United States. Many companies appreciate Piskorek's care for quality and recipes, they use the company's experience in the production of private labels.
The Piskorek brand, despite a slight packaging makeover, sticks to the traditional method of sourdough cultivation and draws inspirations from its recipes developed over the years. Sourdough boasts the VEGE mark, which means that it has gained new customers. The company will launch a new flavour soon; it only reveals that horseradish is a delicious connotation.
