Plastpol 2024: The global plastics processing industry and innovative technologies for four days at Targi Kielce
Uniquely, from May 21 to 24, the exhibition halls transform into a working factory.
PLASTPOL - the International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing is one of Europe's most important plastics and rubber industry events, in addition to the fact that this is Targi Kielce's most international expo. The show in Poland brings together 600 exhibitors; foreign companies account for more than half of them. Companies from 31 countries - Asia, Europe and the Middle East present breakthrough technologies, solutions, materials and raw materials. "We expect to host several thousand guests from various industries using plastics, such as the medical, food, cosmetics, automotive, household appliances, and aviation industries," says Doctor Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce.
Targi Kielce exhibition space turns into a factory
The Plastpol offers a unique value and thus a competitive advantage - the opportunity to look at the production process live. Visitors see thousands of machines working live, primarily high-technology injection moulding machines that use granulates, extruders, entire production lines, production management systems, and plastic recycling devices.
"The opportunity to compare and benchmark many operating devices speeds up contracting decisions, further boosting enterprises' development," notes Kamil Perz, project director of the Targi Kielce's Plastpol. "Every year, purchasing decisions are made at our event. International contracts worth millions of euros are concluded at the expo centre; thus, companies increase production capacity, improve work quality, and enter new markets."
The offer of tools, moulds, raw materials, granulates and recyclates, additives, and dyes is also impressive. Companies offer professional services in distribution, logistics, and transport.
Revolutionary technologies in Kielce
The solutions presented at the expo respond to the industry's challenges, such as the quest for maximum energy saving, increased quality of products, and the need to use recycled raw materials, to name a few. An injection moulding machine powered by green energy from photovoltaic cells is displayed at the Plastpol for the first time. Another innovative machine is presented in Kielce for the second time globally; this is the European premiere. There are even more energy-saving novelties; entrepreneurs can economise up to 30 per cent. Visitors see the live production of 0.5-liter beer mugs; the cycle time of 31 seconds lasts only. Syringe plungers, medical pipette tips, workshop boxes, and accessories for the food industry are also produced live at the expo. The one-of-a-kind Japanese extrusion blow moulding machine produces bottles.
"Production lines are already being assembled. It takes a dozen or so days to set up several machines and compose one efficiently. That is why the option to have a close look at devices working when displayed at the Kielce expo is so valuable," emphasises Kamil Perz.
Companies offering raw materials for processing, such as polyethylene and polypropylene granulates, dyes, and recyclates mark an essential place at Targi Kielce; this group of exhibitors includes Polish companies with a wide offer. There are Azoty and Anwil to name a few. The new product portfolio includes high-quality recyclates; the product increases industry demand. Process additives that do not contain environmentally harmful compounds are also eagerly sought.
Knowledge, discussions at the Plastpol Fair
The exhibition of the plastics processing industry-targeted offer is complemented by conferences addressing most topical developmental issues. The transformation of production and the use of more and more recycled raw materials are put into the limelight. The PlasticsEurope Polska Foundation, the industry representation of plastics producers and converters in Poland, presents current data related to the current situation of the Polish plastics industry on the whole European backdrop. The Foundation also prepares the "The Plastics Transition" exhibition, in line with the "How will the plastics system in Europe change by 2050?" notion. The boards are displayed in every Targi Kielce expo hall. The Waste Management and Recycling Cluster and PlasticsEurope discuss changes in the industry related to the circular economy in plastics processing.
The Technical Seminar PLASTECH INFO is held in cooperation with the tworzywa.pl website; the Targi Kielce session is a much-desired knowledge source. Important information is provided at the conference organised by TMBK Partners - "Sustainable approach to green transformation in polymer materials".
Unique paintings and sculptures at Targi Kielce
The exhibition of innovations in the plastics processing industry is enhanced with a unique art exhibition. From May 21 to 24, Targi Kielce visitors see oil paintings and sculptures made by exhibitors. Artists are industry insiders; on a daily basis, they run companies operating on an international arena. Painting and sculpting is their passion. Expo hall A features paintings by Magdalena and Adam Laabs. The award-winning works have been presented in galleries in Milan and Paris. The Belgian Tom Dierick presents sculptures made of plastic, most often from waste obtained during the production process.
"Plastpol is a comprehensive event for the global plastics industry; thus, it is worth being with us from May 21 to 24 at Targi Kielce and learning about the industry's challenges. Visitors can find all the information on the website plastpol.com," invites Kamil Perz.
The Targi Kielce's 28th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL is held in Targi Kielce from 21 to 24 May 2024.
