Public transport experts meet industry insiders at the TRANSEXPO conference

Traditionally, on the eve of the XV International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO, a Technical Conference was held. The session was co-organized by the IGKM CHAMBER OF URBAN TRANSPORT Rolling Stock Commission

Experts from municipal institutions dealing with public transport from Krakow, Warsaw, Kutno and Konin and other cities made their conference interventions. The speakers were also represented collective transport companies.  Solaris Bus & Coach, Medcom and Bibus Menos were represented at the session.

An analysis of the introduction of hydrogen buses in Poland was one of the topics discussed. In addition, there was a lecture on the latest technological trends in the production of buses, ICT novelties for public transport.

The conference was formally commenced by Mr Andrzej Mochoń PhD, President of Board at  Targi Kielce; this has already become the tradition.

This October's highlight - the International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO commences on 27 October and continues until 29 October.

SOLARIS - the leader of the public transport sector in Poland
– Javier Calleja, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Solaris – said that the pandemic has not slowed the growth of sales of Solaris buses in Europe, and even more so in Poland. He noted that the company sold 1,560 cars in 2020, with 1,487 cars in the previous year. At this year's TRANSEXPO in Targi Kielce, the Solaris management also presented the latest models of electric buses

The jubilee TRANSEXPO was supposed to begin today…
Today, 21 October was supposed to mark the onset of the International Fair of Public Transport at Targi Kielce - the global COVID-19 pandemic put everything on halt, just like a working hand brake. The trade fair has been postponed to be held in June 2021
