For the first time in its history, Targi Kielce has been promoted from the third to the second place of the Central and Eastern Europe’s ranking with regards to the number of trade fair exhibitors. – In 2012 we hosted 5,600 thousand guests; this puts us ahead of such giants as Kiev’s international exhibition centre Euroindex and Trade Fair Brno. This is an immense success, especially if we take into consideration not only the size but also the fact that these exhibitions have operated longer in the market. Now we are the runner-up of the ranking – says Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD.

Targi Kielce has also been ranked third with respect to the amount of exhibition space leased; Targi Kielce’s has enjoyed the same position in this year’s as well as last year’s auditing period. Kielce’s centre is ahead of Budapest, České Budějovice or Kiev. BW Brno and MTP Poznań open this year’s ranking list. – Our result is 201 thousand square metres, i.e. 22% more than in the previous year’s statistics. And it does not take much to catch up with the ranking runner-up – the Brno centre; we fell short of 40,000 square metres – Targi Kielce’s President expresses his high hopes.

Centrex – International Exhibition Statistics Union is the Central and Eastern Europe’s most important organisation of this kind; not only does it promote the largest and most dynamic trade fair centres, but also closely observes their development. CENTREX is also into promotion of the idea of trade fair event organisation as the best marketing tool. The ranking has comprised of the thirteen centres of international renown, located in such cities as: Arad, Brno, Budapest, České Budějovice, Kielce, Gdańsk, Poznań, Lviv,, Kiev, Budva, Plovdiv, Debrecen and Bucharest.

- Targi Kielce is also one of investment leaders among the trade fair and conference centres. The new Congress Centre will become operational this September. The 170-million centre’s expansion has already included the construction of 2 exhibition halls, the entry terminal with the digital exhibitor and visitors registration and service system and a multi-level car park to accommodate half a thousand vehicles – adds President Andrzej Mochoń.

This autumn Targi Kielce intends to become Poland’s first trade fair and exhibition centre listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
