Sacroexpo medals and distinctions - the awarding ceremony!
The presentation of the PER ARTEM AD DEUM one of the points of the meeting's agenda, the ceremony was held for the eighteenth time. This year's award was granted to the Italian director, Giuseppe Tornatore. Mr Andrzej Mochoń PhD., President of Targi Kielce, mentioned this fac in his speech: "By the resolution of the Pontifical Council for Culture, this year's Per Artem Ad Deum Award goes to Giuseppe Tornatore: for showing the truth which is the emotional experience of the relationship with the Infinite and the Unknowable. "During the gala, the viewers could see the film featuring the awarding ceremony and a short conversation with the chairman of the Pontifical Council for Culture, His Excellency Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi. The Targi Kielce President also referred to the wide range of products presented during this year's edition of the Sacroexpo fair, incl. modern technological solutions used in the church, devotional articles, Catholic literature and exhibitions accompanying the event. "I think that this trade fair will serve the purpose of contemplation of thoughts and thus result in numerous business meetings" - he concluded.
One of the speakers during the gala ceremony, Zbigniew Koniusz, Voivode of Świętokrzyskie Province, spoke about the need for conditions to bring man and God closer. The organisation of such an event as Targi Kielce's Sacroexpo serve the purpose. He also emphasised that Poles are people of deep faith - "Our faith thrives. Poles are sensitive people, and they show this sensitivity by offering help to those in need' recalled the voivode.
The gala was also the occasion to award the TOP DESIGN distinctions and prizes.

The Targi Kielce Medal was also awarded for the revitalisation and commissioning of the Wawel Urban bell, which had remained silent for almost 100 years. The RDUCH BELLS & CLOCKS company from Czemica was bestowed the accolade.
Targi Kielce distinctions for a modern forms to welcome the faithful and encourage them to attend the holy mass and religious services were presented to ARCH + Design Studio, Marek Powiecka from Knurów for "Parking for every holy family" and "The Way of the Cross" with particular emphasis on the needs of young people.
The gala is also an opportunity to present commemorative diplomas to the jubilarians. This year, such a diploma was awarded to the PROMIC publishing house, celebrating its 35th anniversary.
Archbishop Henryk Jagodziński - the Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana, who was present at the ceremony, handed over the medals of honour. HE mentioned that during a visit to the United States, he heard about the Sacroexpo in Kielce. "The news about this event spread overseas," he recalled.
The first award presented by the Archbishop, the Honorary Medal of His Excellency, the Late Primate, Cardinal Józef GLEMP, was bestowed to ART10.pl from Łódź for the Way of the Cross containing the texts from the Blessed Anna Katarzyna Emmerich's manifestations.
The Honorary Prize of its Excellence Bishop Of Kielce Jan Piotrowski went to the Krakow Stained Glass Shop SG Żeleński LLC from Krakow. The stained glass windows "Saint Anna" and "Baptism of Christ in Jordan", designed by Piotr Ostrowski and mounted in the Collegiate Church in Łask.
Honorary Medal of His Excellence Primate of Poland Archbishop Wojciech Polak was awarded to the CTS-Audio company from Chełmiec for the linear DSP sound system - the way to solve acoustic problems in religious buildings' interiors.
The meeting was accompanied by the performance of the "Józefowe Kwiatki", children band which presented a few pieces of music.
