- There is the need for cooperation between science and business in the sector of lifts; it can be observed in the whole world and in Poland in particular. Projects which grow out of such cooperation are highly appreciated; however in Poland there is still not enough of them. Now, thanks to the EURO-LIFT trade fair as well as owing to the support from the Operational Programmes such cooperation is possible. The Operational Programmes provide financial resources for innovative companies. – upon the opening of the trade fair Professor Jerzy Kwaśniewski, the head of the National Consulting Lifts Forum highlighted the importance of spin-offs.

The three days’ expo brings together over 100 leading business sector companies from 17 countries. - This year’s edition has broken its own record when compared with the 2010 expo. Foreign companies find Poland as a really attractive, ready-market; this is demonstrated by the fact that 60% of expo’s exhibitors come from abroad. – says Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń PhD.

The EURO-LIFT is also attended by representatives of foreign lift producers associations

- Eastern Europe has been growing to become the leader of our business sector. Western companies have chosen the countries in the east as their business target. – the president of Italian Association of Lift Component Manufacturers Fabrizio Nicoli PhD shared his observations.

– Our association installs 125 000 new appliances per annum; however we are also aware of the fact that there are 5 million lifts and short distance appliances that need to be refurbished. This trade fair fulfils this objective – said Luc Rivet; Secretary General of the European Lift Association ELA. – Not only are we engaged in the discussion on the components and the market but also on the very important question of safety. And this is the best place for such discussions – continued Luc Rivet.
