Sergei Morgunov, mayor of Vinnytsia: - Ukrainian-Polish economic cooperation has potential, even in war conditions
"The Ukrainian fight against the Russian aggressor continues. Our army’s is strong and persistant in its resistance to the enemy, but without a reliable economic base, it is difficult to achieve military victory and ensure sustainable post-war development. Therefore, Ukraine's main task is to intensify economic processes.
Vinnytsia is a distinguished example of the Ukrainian-Polish economic cooperation potential, even in war conditions. Barlinek, one of the largest producers of parquet boards in Eastern Europe, is an enterprise with Polish capital whose plant has been successfully operating in the city for over 15 years, including the time of the full-scale Russian invasion. And this is not the only enterprise with international capital that continues to operate during the war, increasing production capacity and opening new plants in Vinnytsia.
The conference "Join in! "Polish-Ukrainian cooperation for reconstruction and strategic partnership" in Kielce is an appropriate platform for creating new business opportunities. Together we can find tools that help, insure and secure entrepreneurs of both countries in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. I hope that the experience of the long-term partnership between Kielce and Winnica will contribute to the economic development of both countries."
