Space FORUM at Targi Kielce. Dronoids and Mars rovers
- "Space" topics seem distant to the majority of the general public, yet many of them are useful in everyday life - says Andrzej Mochoń, President of Targi Kielce - For example, dronoids are used in the medical industry, they are helpful for border guards, fire and law-enforcement services. Therefore, the date of the Forum is in close proximity to the next International Defence Industry Exhibition held in September 2021.
The extremely important role of dronoids in the pandemic reality is evidenced by, for example, the first technical flight with medical transport on the route of the PGE Narodowy temporary hospital and the Central Clinical Hospital of Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw, thus opening the first in Poland, drone airlift between the two institutions. The drone, covering a distance of 15 km (7.5 one way), transferred swab samples for COVID-19 for laboratory tests. The project was prepared and implemented by Spartaqs, also known for organising the first European flight of dronoids in the Czech Republic.
The Forum will expand the Aviation Expo, dedicated to light aviation, promoting, among others, the development of air transport. The event, scheduled from 10 to 12 September 2021, will include attractions such as the live broadcast of the launch of a rocket carried into the stratosphere from a special balloon-dronoid platform designed by Sławomir Huczała - the Spartaqs main designer and co-owner.
- The most difficult is the initial stretch towards space, between the surface of the earth to the stratosphere - says Aleksandra Borowska, president of Spartaqs, a leading high-tech design office. This requires the greatest amount of energy and is the most risky part of the rocket's journey. To minimise this risk, we cover this leg of the journey using a dronoid platform.
The organisers also announced a live broadcast from NOAA 16, 18 and 19 weather satellites and AMSAT satellites.
There will also be a show of the famous Mars rovers, whose international competition, the European Rover Challenge, has already been organised twice in Kielce. It is worth noting that students from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering of the Kielce University of Technology are world champions in this discipline.
- In addition to the Mars rover competition, which takes place during the International Forum of the Space Sector, we will support the event as the knowledge partner. We intend to invite institutions of importance to this industry, including the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences - declared the Rector of the Kielce University of Technology, who was present at the meeting in Mikołów prof. Engineer Zbigniew Koruba PhD. Hab.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been only a dozen trade fairs in the country, most of them at Targi Kielce. - We are waiting to see the end of the pandemic and the lifting of the restrictions. We are already preparing for the next trade fair season - says Andrzej Mochoń, the president of Targi Kielce - As you can see, we cannot wait, we cannot sit idle either.
