Sustainable development plan of public transport

The conference of the National Chamber of Municipal Transport (IGKM) is to be held, similar to prevous editions, a&nbps;day before the TRANSEXPO launches

The IGKM conference is the introduction to the International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO, the leading exhibition of Central and Eastern Europe, held in Kielce for the 9th time

The subject matter of the meeting refers to the new tasks of the self-governments and public transport organisers set in the context of the sustainable development plans. Thus the Conference will focus on the following issues: the conditions and directions of public mass transport planning, transport plans designed for Górna Łaba, transport plans as the task set for public mass transport organiser, the principles and methods regarding the data collections for drawing the public transport plans, the sustainable public mass transport plans for communes and commune associations, the examples of IGKM Guideline utilisation in the plan preparation on the example of selected cities.

The three subject blocks will be hosted by professionals, both the representatives of the world of science and the public transport companies or public transport associated companies. These specialists are Professor Wojciech Suchorzewski of Warsaw University of Technology, Torsten Meerbach of Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe GmbH (VVO), Dresden (Dresden association of public transport carriers), Professor Olgierd Wyszomirski and Krzysztof Grzelec PhD of Gdynia Public Transport Company and Marcin Gromadzki of Marcin Gromadzki Public Transport Consulting.

The conference launches on 19th September 2011 in Łysogóry Hotel, it is held a&nbps;day before the start of the biggest public and mass transport trade fair held in this part oh Europe – TRANSEXPO, this year scheduled for 20th to 22nd September 2011.
