- Today we will be taking about the best in our region; the equilibrists of innovation, the business Rockefellers. We will also be talking about the angels of goodness, the people of truth, the authorities, the ambassadors of Swietokrzyskie region. They help us believe that success is attainable. Their work and efforts make us believe that success is achievable here; in our cities, towns and villages, in Swietokrzyskie region – said the Voivode. The seven statuettes were presented in four categories.

Targi Kielce and the Road Engineering Company FART were presented the accolades in the category of “Enterprise of the Region”.

The winner in the “Man of the Year” category is the rector of Jan Kochanowski University Professor Regina Renz; seven years ago she was elected the head of Swietokrzyskie Academy. In the category of “Municipal Commune of the Year” the winner is the self government of Końskie; the accolade of the “Rural Commune” was presented to Kije commune. The Swietokrzyskie Laurel in the category of “Agricultural Farm” has gone to the Agricultural Production Cooperative "Nowe życie" (New Life) from the village of Przewozy and the Michał Matuszczyk’s Farm from Końskie county. The Voivode has also presented two Special Laurels for Ryszard Grzyb; the owner of a development company – Mr Grzyb has built a block of flats for 21 families who suffered in the Sandomierz flood. The other Special laurel was presented to Bertus Servaas; one of the region’s ;argest employers and the president of Vive Targi Kielce Sports Club with its accolade-winning handball team. The Fair Play accolade was presented to Stanisław Hojda PhD in merit of his work for local sport.

The Targi Kielce President of Board Andrzej Mochoń was presented by the Voivode with the “Man of the Year” laurel in 2007.
