Sylwia Perczak's works offer profound spirituality and a modern approach to traditional religious motifs. The artist's work has been appreciated both in Poland and abroad, and her works can be found in numerous churches, galleries, and private collections.
- I draw inspiration from the Bible, New and Old Testament; recently, I have eagerly reached for parables, including the parable of the sower. Also the story of Saint George and the theme of the fight between good and evil are my inspiration. I could endlessly paint the Virgin Mary - she confessed.
She revealed that when she imagines the story she is creating, this turns into a powerful experience. - When painting walking on water, I am drowning with Peter. I am with him when he is calling out "Lord, save me" - she confessed.
The artist discussed the techniques and materials she uses in detail. She admitted that she goes beyond the traditional framework, as in the case of writing icons. She also gives up gold decorations. Her works are very minimalist, which allows the viewer to focus on the message of the work.
Sylwia Perczak - the artist whose work constantly delights and inspires, her paintings can be admired at the Sacroexpo exhibition at Targi Kielce. They will also be available for purchase at Tuesday's auction by the ART In HOUSE auction house - from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the stage in hall E-3.
